Chapter 15: We're All Connected

1

In book I, we mostly confined our discussion of the subconscious mind to easily relatable everyday phenomena that you have experienced but may not have thought about in terms of the mechanics of the subconscious mind. This includes times where you've felt an intense amount of emotion, a really strong belief, an enhanced ability to control your body or enhanced creative or intellectual capabilities. You might agree that this is especially true for times where you've felt like you entered “the zone” and your ability to perform some activity overall goes beyond what you’d normally be capable of. Well now we’re going to switch gears and try to focus on the subconscious from a whole new perspective. We’re going to now start thinking about the subconscious more from the view that it is a metaphysical substance whose capabilities extend beyond the physical world. Although we have been doing that to some degree in the first book already, there are those who might claim that many of the phenomena that we’ve discussed thus far still fall under the capabilities of the purely physically substances that make up our body and brain.

However, we’re now going to start talking about the subconscious in terms that can’t be easily related to in terms of your everyday experiences. These new, more supernatural, phenomena that we’ll discuss will make even less sense if we try to think of the subconscious as something that simply emerges from purely physical phenomena. Much of what we’ll discuss should largely be impossible from a purely physical perspective. However, they’ll make sense if we were to think of the subconscious as a thing that is metaphysical in nature, rather than physical. To this end, we will first focus, in this chapter, on one of the most important transcendental abilities your subconscious has when it comes to supernatural phenomena and that is its ability to essentially “connect” to things. After this, in later chapters, we will focus on various applications of this ability to connect, including our ability to connect to God and have a relationship with him.

WE’RE ALL CONNECTED

If you consider yourself to be a spiritual person and have read almost any kind of text or philosophy on the idea of spirituality or similar ideas, you’ve probably heard of a very common aphorism that is almost always mentioned in these texts in one way or another. This is the general concept that we are all “one with the universe”. This is a very common phraseology that is often used both in spiritual and self help texts and is generally meant to indicate to that we’re all more deeply connected than we appear to be. Not only is it often suggested that we’re all more deeply connected to each other, but it is even suggested that we share a connection to non-living things such as the water, rocks, planets and galaxies. In many cases, these beliefs inspire us to believe that we’re more than we appear to be from a purely physical perspective. But what does this all mean from a subconscious perspective? Is there some interpretation of this sentiment that can be reconciled through subconscious energy mechanics?

Well I actually believe that there is. I have, of course, been studying the subconscious mind for many years now and have always been somewhat confused about the mechanical workings of many of the supernatural phenomena that I myself believe I have experienced. That is not to say that I believe I now have all the answers regarding these phenomena. I, like many others, can only make speculations about what’s actually happening when such phenomena seem to occur. However, as I began to study the subconscious more and more, I started to attempt to explain many of these so called “supernatural” experiences that people report, as well as those I’ve personally experienced, in terms of the mechanics of the subconscious mind. And for the most part, I think I’ve been rather successful in this endeavor. I believe that there is, at least, an avenue we can take for consistent and logical explanations for supernatural phenomena when we look at them from the perspective of the subconscious.

However, while it did appear to me that the mechanics of the subconscious mind played a significant role in supernatural phenomena, I have to admit I still wasn’t fully convinced of some of my early theories on how these phenomena work. Although I felt I was in the ball park of the correct explanation, I still felt there were some inconsistencies in my theories and that I was making certain leaps of reason that weren’t entirely warranted – or logically “sound” as a logic theorist might say. However, as I’ve studied these phenomenon more and more over the years and have attempted to theorize on the connection between them and the subconscious mind, the one explanation that I’ve come to – which seems to bridge many of the gaps in my earlier theories – is the idea of being “connected”.

I’ve come believe that, as is suggested in many spiritual and self help text, we are all in fact connected to each other. More specifically, I believe that we’re all connected at the subconscious level. When I look at things this way, then a lot of things just seem to make sense. All of the ideas that I’ve been wrestling with previously seem to come together quite naturally. It’s as if this particular phenomenon was the missing link in all of my earlier theories on the supernatural. For this reason, I wanted to spend a chapter dedicated specifically to this behavior of the subconscious mind. In particular, we will now learn about a new transcendental ability your subconscious mind has that will form as the basis for the rest of our discussions on the subconscious in the remainder of the book.

TRANSCENDENTAL CONNECTION

In book I, we spoke about many different transcendental abilities such as emotion, perception, control and creativity. We’ve mainly been working with just these transcendental abilities for quite a while now. However, for the supernatural portion of this book series, there is a new transcendental ability that we must now discuss. This is your subconscious’ ability to essentially “connect” to different things in nature. Until now we’ve assumed that your subconscious was only connected to your body and mind and that it was only these aspects of the self that were capable of influencing your subconscious. However, this picture is not entirely accurate. While it is generally a fair approximation to assume that it is only your conscious mind and body that are influencing your subconscious, it must still be understood that your subconscious mind can actually be influenced by other external factors outside of yourself as well.

In a nutshell, your subconscious has a very strong connection to your body and mind and is mainly influenced by just these two parts of your make up. However, it also has a very weak connection to basically the rest of reality as well. I often like to think of this phenomenon by comparing it to the mechanics of gravity – at least in terms of its definition in classical physics. Historically, before general relativity, gravity has been thought to be an attractive force that exists between all forms of matter. The strength of this force is determined by how much mass each form of matter in question has and how far away from each other they are. The less mass something has and the further away it is from another object, the weaker its gravitational pulling force is on the other object. What’s interesting though is that this classical theory of gravity doesn’t actually suggest a lower limit for the strength of this force. It is only considered to be weaker and weaker the less mass something has and the further away it is. Thus in theory a pebble on the moon is actually still trying pull me toward it.

Of course this pulling force is so weak that I can safely ignore it in any calculation that involves my weight. However, for purely intellectual purposes, we can still acknowledge that this pebble is still pulling me toward it in some fashion and that this pulling force is extremely tiny but still isn't precisely zero. Well I believe that a similar phenomenon is actually going on with your subconscious mind. In theory, your subconscious is actually connected to the rest of the universe too, not just your body and mind. However, this connection is normally so weak, that you can safely ignore its affect on your subconscious and simply look at how your subconscious is being affected by your body and mind. However, under certain circumstances, this connection can actually be increased. And when this occurs, the negligible effects of this external connection can reach a level of strength that causes it to no longer be negligible. At this point, you won’t be able to fully understand the activity and behavior of your subconscious mind unless you factor in the effect of this external connection.

This ability for your subconscious to become more connected to external aspects of reality is something I like to call transcendental connection. This transcendental ability essentially forms the entire basis of everything that we might think of as “supernatural”. Throughout the rest of the book, we will look at various different phenomena that occur when your subconscious becomes more and more connected to different things in nature. It should be noted that, like any transcendental ability, transcendental connection can be charged and discharged. This means that your subconscious can charge up to become more and more connected to something as well as discharge in a way that causes it to become less and less connected to something over time. As it becomes more connected, the behavior of your subconscious will change in various ways that will be determined by what you’re connecting to. We will discuss the different ways in which your subconscious is affected by this connection in more detail throughout the rest of the book. For now we can simply say that your subconscious  will usually try to imitate the nature of what it's connecting to more and more as transcendental connection charges. In a sense this connection to some external thing will act like a “suggestion” to your subconscious. I’d like to mention also that, again like any transcendental ability, subconscious frequency also plays a role in transcendental connection which is something that we will be discussing throughout the remaining chapters of this book as well.

Lastly, I’d like to acknowledge that it is not just the case that your subconscious will be affected by something you’re transcendentally connected to. It is also true that you’ll be able to influence something that you transcendentally connect to as well. In the same way that a pebble on the moon is technically pulling me toward it, it is also true that I’m technically pulling the pebble toward me as well. A similar kind of back force effect occurs between your subconscious and the thing that you’re connected to.

HOW TRANSCENDENTAL CONNECTION WORKS

If the subconscious has the innate ability to connect to different things in nature, then the next natural question to ask is how exactly does this ability work. Well like any transcendental ability, this ability cannot be controlled at will. Rather you seem to sort of “just do it” naturally whenever you’re focused on something while in a transcendental state. The more time you spend focusing on something while in a transcendental state, the more it seems that you’re building a transcendental connection to it. Now, under normal circumstances, you usually spend a lot of your time focusing on things that you just make up in your mind. And to be fair, it does feel like I’m “connecting” to these imaginary figures when I'm constantly charging while focused on them too. For example, if I watch a lot of Superman movies, I might feel as though I’m “connecting” to the heroic symbol that Superman represents on a subconscious level. This would cause my subconscious constantly compel me to think and behave in a manner similar to that of Superman’s. However, where transcendental connection becomes much more interesting is when we’re connecting to things that actually exist in the external reality, which occurs outside of our own imagination.

We will talk more about how transcendental connection works in this context in different circumstances in the coming chapters. However, I’d like to say for now that I believe your subconscious has the ability to connect to people, places and things in the physical reality. This would naturally occur as we spend more and more time focused on these particular things while in a transcendental state. As this connection grows, it would cause an ambient effect on the way our subconscious behaves. This includes what we choose to think at the subconscious level, as well as what we’re able to feel. However, this connection is generally very weak compared to the influence of our body and mind on our subconscious so we likely may not even notice this kind of influence on a conscious level – it would be far too subtle. Furthermore this connection is difficult to charge in a more direct way for reasons that we’ll go over in chapter 7. For now, suffice it to say that your body makes it hard for your subconscious to connect more directly to something that’s external to you.

This means that it would be hard for me to connect directly to a celebrity that I’m fan of and spend a lot of time focused on for example. This difficulty of forming a direct connection is part of the reason why transcendental connection generally has a weak affect on your subconscious. However, there is still a new phenomenon that arises from multiple more indirect connections that has an ambient affect on all of our subconscious minds. This phenomenon is essentially a kind of subconscious network that forms as a result of the weak indirect connections that we all share and are subconsciously a part of. Although our bodies get in the way and make it difficult for us to form stronger direct connections to each other and to other things, there is still a weak connection that is easily able to form between all of us and our environments. And these weaker connections still have the ability to weakly influence us on a subconscious level. I like to call this ambient subconscious network – which I believe occurs on a planetary scale – the superconscious. Initially this was only a concept I theorized to exist and didn't take too seriously. However I later read of many experiences that seemed to indicate that this metaphysical construct did truly exist. We will talk about the superconscious throughout the rest of this chapter and then revisit it again in chapters 9 and 10 where we talk about it in a much more full and consequential way.

THE SUPERCONSCIOUS MIND

One theory I’ve posited in light of the concept of transcendental connection is the concept of a kind of larger, almost planetary scale, subconscious mind field. Now unlike our own subconscious mind, this larger subconscious is actually not directly connected to some larger conscious mind. In other words, there is no grand being who is controlling and directing this larger subconscious mind through intention. Instead this planetary subconscious is actually more of an “emergent” phenomenon that arises as a result of the connection between all of our subconscious minds. To understand this, try to think for a moment about what happens when you put a whole bunch of charged particles in a small area so that they’re really close to each other. According to Coulombs law, electrically charged particles will exert a force on each other whose strength is proportional to how far apart they are and how intense each charge involved is. If the particles have the same polarity of charge, then they will repel each other more and more strongly the closer they get to each other. If they have an opposite polarity of charge, then they will attract each other more strongly the closer they get to each other.

Now let’s say that there are hundreds of charged particles compacted into a small area. It will not be the case that one charge will simply exert a force on only one of the other particles but not on the rest of them. On the contrary, every individual particle will exert a force on every single one of the hundreds of other particles too. This means that all of the charged particles are exerting forces on each other and will create a relatively complex field of electrical influence which affects all of the charged particles involved. This spatial field of influence is called an electric field in physics. Now what’s interesting to consider here is what would happen if we were to place another charged particle into this electric field. Essentially, if we were to do this, this complex electric field would exert a force on this new charged particle which has entered the field. But what this really means is that the hundreds of other electrically charged particles would all exert some net force on the newly added particle. Furthermore if we were to take away even one of those original hundreds of particles from this electrically charge space, then the net force exerted on the newly added particle would be different.

In other words, every charged particle plays a role, no matter how small or minor, in determining how the electric field affects another particle that is added to this field. The capacity for the electric field itself to influence other charged particles is uniquely determined by each of the electrically charged particles that make up the field. Well I bring up all of this talk about electric fields because I believe a similar phenomenon occurs with our subconscious minds. Each of us is connected to each other, even if only weakly, at the subconscious level. As a result of this connection, all of our subconscious minds are actually influencing the activities and behaviors of everyone elses. And any one person’s subconscious mind is not simply only influencing one other person’s subconscious mind, rather each of our mind’s are influencing every other person’s subconscious mind. This creates a kind of ambient network or subconscious field of influence, that is not unlike an electric field. Any individual person who subconsciously connects to that network, will not only contribute to it but will also be influenced by it as well.

This special network or subconscious field is what I referred to earlier as the superconscious. Technically it would be more accurate to call it a super subconscious field since it is larger than any one subconscious mind and it spreads out spatially across the human population. But to avoid a certain clumsiness in terminology, I like to simply call this grand network of subconscious influence the superconscious. I believe that this superconscious has a relatively ambient affect on our subconscious mind that is similar to the way our mood or short-term subconscious memory affects our subconscious behavior. In other words, the superconscious can either boost or dampen certain charges in a person’s individual subconscious mind. Now because this ambient effect of the superconscious is so weak, we probably won’t notice this ambient effect most of the time. However, I believe that under certain circumstance, this ambient effect can actually increase in strength and affect us even more than normal. In theory, this would be most likely to occur when a large section of humanity is experiencing some grand event that stimulates a very strong emotional reaction out of each of our subconscious minds or at least a very large number of our minds. As each of our subconscious minds charge up as a result of this grand event, so too does the strength of the boosting and dampening effect of the superconscious. This is not unlike increasing the charge of a large amount of the hundreds of charged particles that make up the electric field described earlier. This increase would cause the electric field to exert a stronger force on all of the charged particles that make up the field overall.

SUPERCONSCIOUS CHARGING

One interesting quality about the superconscious that I theorize to exist is its relatively categorical structure. In a simple sense, I believe that, within the superconscious, there exists a hierarchy of classifications that range from most strongly connected to least strongly connected. In other words, there can be certain groups of people who are very strongly connected in the superconscious and other groups of people who are very weakly connected in the superconscious by comparison. In a certain sense, this classification is not all that different from the ones you see in taxonomy – where animals are classified according how to closely related they are. Animals in the same species are more closely related in their genetics than animals in the same class. Animals in the same class are more closely related in their genetics than animals in the same phylum and so on. I believe a similar kind of classification based hierarchy exists in the superconscious, although it may not necessarily be constant at all times.

To understand why this is, we must first be clear about what it is exactly that we mean by “connection” in this context. In the superconscious, I like to think of different individuals as being more or less connected to each other based on how they’re all reinforcing some ambient charging boost that occurs due to the influence of the superconscious. This “reinforcement” occurs as a result of the role that subconscious memory plays in the function of the superconscious. Now I’m not actually sure if the superconscious has an actual subconscious memory of its own like we do but, even if it does, let’s put that possibility aside for the moment. Based on the definition of the superconscious provided, we can say that the superconscious actually has a collection of subconscious memory systems that are each made up of and are regulated by an individual’s subconscious mind. Another way of saying this is that the subconscious memory of the superconscious is actually a network of each person’s individual subconscious memories. How active or passive any of these subconscious memories are at one time is determined by what each individual, who is a part of that system and is regulating that particular set of subconscious memories, is focused on. Now where this phenomenon becomes more interesting is when multiple individuals are focused on the same subject and are charging in a similar manner while doing so.

Let’s say for example that there is a very intense thunderstorm on the horizon and a large number of people are focused on this storm at the same time. Now if we assume that all of these people are already weakly connected to each other at the subconscious level and that their subconscious minds are all weakly imitating each other, then it is reasonable to assume that this imitation effect grows for a particular set of individuals who are all focused on the same event. At least, this is probably the case if these individuals are all reacting to this storm in the same way. This is because each of these individuals is already weakly imitating each other at the subconscious level, due to transcendental connection, and they’re all charging in the same manner – and in response to the same thing – thus the boosting effect of the superconscious becomes slightly stronger for that kind of subconscious behavior. The more people who charge in this manner, the stronger the superconscious boosting effect will be during that time. Therefore we can say, in a sense, that the people who are all focused on the storm, at the same time, and all happen to be charging up at the same frequency will have a slightly stronger connection to each other than they might to people who aren’t focused on that storm. And we can expand this principle in a more general manner to include what you might call patterns of focus as well.

Namely when a group of people focus on relatively the same things over and over again and charge similar subconscious behaviors over and over and have similar frequencies charged in their short-term memory, then they’ll all be slightly more connected to each other on average than people who’s subconscious activity is very different in nature. I say on average because every person’s attention and subconscious behavior is always going to be in a state of constant change, therefore the state of the superconscious is also always going to be in a state flux at all times as well. This means the ambient influence of the superconscious on our subconscious is always going to be changing but will momentarily increase whenever a large number of people are focused on the same thing at the same time, or even when our mood is fairly similar. Thus all people on earth are probably more connected to each other than we are to animals, due to the similar nature of our subconscious activity. However, most people within a certain city are probably more connected to each other than people in that particular state and so on. This concept of familiarity can also expand to other kinds of categories as well. Namely most in people in a particular religion, school or job are probably more connected to each other than the rest of the population. And whenever people from one of these groups all focus on a similar thing at the same time, their connection in the superconscious momentarily grows and the influence of the superconscious on all of their subconscious minds grows during that time as well.

SUPERCONSCIOUS AND THE LAW OF ATTRACTION

The last topic I’d like to focus on is another phenomenon that I believe arises from the superconscious and is actually very well known in modern self help communities. It is generally referred to simply as the “law of attraction”. You’ve probably also heard this phenomena referred to by another pseudonym, “the secret”. This is a reference to a documentary that was popularized in 2006 as well as a series spin off books and documentaries that focus on the law of attraction. But is this law really a thing? Does the so called “secret” really work in reality and can you use it to achieve your wildest dreams and fantasies? Well I used to not think so and largely dismissed it as being any kind of natural law. I just didn’t feel it was very evident in my daily life and questioned the underlying mechanics for how such a force would actually work. What was this supposed medium through which the law of attraction was to have this grand effect of influence? If you’re unfamiliar with the law of attraction, then you can basically think of it as a kind of supernatural law that states that people’s thoughts will naturally “attract” or pull certain type things, people, events and opportunities into their lives.

In a sense, what shows up in a person’s life is always in alignment with what their current pattern of thinking is. If a person changes their pattern of thinking to something that reflects the life that they actually want, then they will attract different elements of that desired life into their actual life and will continue to do so until they find that they’re finally living the life they’ve always wanted. On paper, this honestly sounds like another get rich quick scheme from some charismatic guru who actually inspires you more than he gives you practical solutions for change. However, I have to admit, I’ve recently started to change my mind about the possibility of the law of attraction being true, especially now that I’ve been studying the subconscious in such detail. The main reason has to do with a personal experience that I’ve had where I charged my subconscious in a specific way and noticed certain changes in my life as a result.

I remember charging my subconscious some time ago to believe that I would achieve a certain goal of mine. Ironically, this wasn’t actually meant to be a formal charge like I would normally do for emotion or transcendental performance. Instead, I just so happened to charge this belief in an inadvertent way. I remember constantly asserting to myself day in and day out, that I would reach a particular goal of mine no matter what happens. I wasn’t expecting anything supernatural to happen, I just kept asserting this belief to keep myself motivated. This is similar to what I mentioned about my experience working a lot in the previous chapter. Well naturally after a few days of doing this, I began to notice myself starting to deep charging this belief. And as I continued to assert this belief more and more, my deep charge grew stronger and stronger. I could feel my awareness going in and out of a transcendental state as I kept asserting this belief. Well, even though I wasn’t intentionally trying to charge this belief, I would still make a conscious effort on some occasions to charge it more whenever I entered a transcendental state because it made me feel more motivated and empowered. It was during this time that I charged this belief so intensely that I started to perceive a nice gold color in my mind when I had. This made me believe that a goldish yellow color has something to do with the frequencies associated with what we might call ambition, determination and confidence.

Now what’s fascinating about this experience is that I actually did begin to notice certain events and opportunities just start sort of popping up into my life. This was extraordinarily peculiar because these kind of events and opportunities didn’t just occasionally “occur” in my life in fairly regular intervals. It seemed that somehow I was experiencing a kind of unusual amount of luck or good fortune in relation to my goal. It was so unusual that I actually noticed it on a conscious level and began to start thinking about it more deeply. I’d wondered if my subconscious charging was somehow causing these “good luck” events to appear in my life. I didn’t usually charge my subconscious in that manner so it would be fairly consistent with the rarity in which this good fortune seems to occur. Well after thinking about it for a while, I still didn’t really see how our subconscious could have this kind of grand effect on reality by itself. This is because it didn’t seem that it was just the case that my subconscious was somehow compelling me to be in the right place at the right time. I could accept that my subconscious may have some innate intelligence on its own to be capable of doing that.

But these good luck events seemed to be affecting others as well. As if to be affecting other people’s subconscious in way that helps me towards some goal. I couldn’t see how my subconscious would be capable of that until I started to theorize about the possibility of the superconscious. If all of our subconscious minds are actually connected and this forms an ambient subconscious field, then that could at least explain how my subconscious might influence the subconscious of others. Normally the ambient affect of this superconscious on our subconscious activity is not very strong. However, it is possible that, while the superconscious doesn’t usually influence us very strongly, we are able to influence it much more strongly when our subconscious is charged up. It seemed to me unlikely at first that only one person alone could have such a strong effect on the superconscious. But then I thought about it and figured that there were two phenomena that could allow this to occur. The first has to do with group size. If I charge my subconscious to believe that I will achieve some particular goal, then I wouldn't necessarily need to transcendentally connect to a large group of people as I do. Instead I might only need to connect to a few, in which case the affect of my charge would be more potent on that local superconscious group.

Of course the problem with this though is that I’m not really producing an intention to tell others to be in certain places and at certain times so that I’m able to interact with them. In theory, the belief that I will achieve some goal should weakly cause them to also believe that they will achieve the same or similar goal. The sort of coordinative planning effect that goes on in the superconscious and brings people, who have never met or known of each other’s existence, together to achieve some goal shouldn’t be able to occur simply from asserting that I will achieve a goal. And yet this seems to be what I have personally experienced. After pondering about this hiccup for a while, it then occurred to me that there is another effect that could explain why this happens as well. Unfortunately we won’t be able to talk about this phenomenon in much detail until chapter 8 of this book. However, what I will say for now is that our subconscious seems to actually have the ability to directly influence the external reality in a way that is related to our intention. In a sense, our subconscious has the innate ability to manifest, into reality, that which we command or assert on a conscious level.

PEAR was a lab in Princeton University which performed various tests on random number generators in an effort to determine if consciousness has the ability to directly influence reality. Throughout many years and hundreds of tests performed, they came to the conclusion that, in fact, it does. They noticed that random number generators consistently deviated from a normal random number pattern whenever people focused on them and held the intention to affect them in some way, such as a command that the machine favor a certain number of their choice. Further research also determined that this effect was more consistent and more significant whenever people were in a heightened emotional state. They even demonstrated that significant global events, such as the terrorists events in the US on 9/11/2001, which triggered intense emotional responses from large numbers of people caused these random number generators to deviate from randomness with the greatest intensity recorded. These experiments, and others like them, show that our subconscious actually has an ambient effect on the influence of the superconscious in the form of manifesting certain changes in the physical reality.

There has been some criticism regarding the reproducibility of these experiments and the methods in which these experiments were controlled. However, if these phenomena did occur, then this means that our subconscious is always attempting to directly influence the rest of universe in an effort to manifest some intention of ours. It doesn’t actually require us to specify every little detail of how the universe must change in order to manifest our intention. There seems to be an even greater transcendental intelligence than the one we’ve spoken about in the secular portion of this book series that comes it to play when discussing the concept of manifestation. Again we will talk more about this phenomenon and its property of innate intelligence in chapter 8. There we will talk about this phenomenon on a much smaller and more personal scale. However, this above experiment shows that it may also work on a much larger scale as well. I feel it is also important to note that, in the above example, the random number generator deviation didn’t actually require large numbers of people to be focused on the random number generator itself or to produce an intention that was directed toward it in order to influence it. The emotional responses, or more specifically the subconscious charge, of the large numbers of people involved was enough to manifest some change in the random number generator indirectly.

This could potentially explain why my charged belief to achieve some goal didn’t just weakly cause others to believe that they would achieve some goal also. The manifestational nature of the subconscious will attempt to cause certain subtle subconscious changes in others in an effort to achieve some desired goal of mine. For example the superconscious, as a result of my subconscious charge, could slightly compel a person to be in a certain place on a certain day, although that individual would have assumed that they came up with that thought entirely by themselves. And the superconscious wouldn’t induce this urge in a strong or forceful way. Rather, it will still only be an ambient urge that any individual could easily ignore. The people most susceptible to following that urge would likely people who have charged their subconscious in a similar manner.

By this I mean that they’ve likely charged a specific belief or desire that has also affected the superconscious and is causing it to manifest some change by compelling others, including myself, to be in a certain place on a certain day too. Thus you will eventually get a group of people who are all strongly connected in the superconscious relative to some goal each individual in this group wishes to achieve. Furthermore each person in this group would experience a subconscious boost, from the superconscious, toward some behavior that helps each individual manifest a particular belief or goal of theirs. In the law of attraction, the principle that states that a group of like minded people can come together in this manner is called “alignment”. Thus it may be possible that when you charge some belief very intensely day after day, it will actually appear as if you’re starting to attract people, events and opportunities into your life that will help you in achieving your desired goal. This, in a nutshell, is the law of attraction or the so called “secret”. As mentioned previously, I wasn't entirely convinced of this phenomenon initially but I did start to reconsider the possibility that it might be true after understanding the subconscious mind more and having experiences where it seemed to be working. However, I later had even more experiences that caused me to not only believe in the law of attraction but also to perceive the scope of it on a whole new scale. For example I've now come to believe that the most proper way of using the law of attraction actually involves the will of God. We will talk more about this in chapter 10.
